So this weekend I was trying to explain to Austin that we're not this little guy's "Aunties and Uncles" but then we decided that the existing system doesn't make sense. So, from this point forward, if you're born of the same generation you are cousins; if you are not, then you are Aunties/Nephews. Sound ok? ;)
Works for me! Plus, it is my understanding that in the Chinese culture, one would refer to all close family and friends in the generation(s) above them as Auntie or Uncle as a sign of respect. Hugs and gummy kisses to Auntie Meg.
